We pulled into our campground to be immediately greeted by bunnies that clearly didn't consider cars any kind of threat.
This park is best known for its scrub jays, two of which came by to check us out as we set up the tent.

After a morning hike and day at the beach hunting fossils, we returned to camp and went out once more to watch the great horned owl family.
On day 2 we were a bit tired and burned, and elected to spend most of the day in shadier pursuits.

In addition to those pampered ex-pets, there were wild conures in a nearby park eating parts of this South American tree brought over for landscaping.
Went kayaking on the last morning, with this night heron to see us off.
There was a whole lot of nothing to see until we came across this fellow trying to enjoy his lunch in peace. We left him to it and started home.
